Wednesday in Wroughton
April 13th, 2005If its Wednesday, it must be Wroughton. Situated to the South of Swindon town, and south of the M4, Wroughton has a character all of its own. It is my constituency base, and the children now go to a local nursery there a couple of times a week.
Lots of issues being raised – unscrupulous and untrustworthy landlords, traffic congestion and, of course, development. The villages of Wroughton and Chiseldon are in distinct danger of becoming suburbs in a Swindon conurbation if there is to be development south of the M4. Mr. Prescott’s tanks had better back off!
