End of June update

The Regent Circus development was a huge step forward for Swindon’s regeneration. Not only has the site spawned great new restaurants, a cinema, and a supermarket to the centre since it opened its doors last August

Armed Forces Day

As part of my five-point plan for the town after I was re-elected, I pledged to continue to help drive up education standards here in South Swindon to give young people the skills they need for the jobs of the future.

Magna Carta

When King John approved the Magna Carta at Runnymede Green in Surrey using his royal seal of beeswax and resin, he would never have imagined that the treaty would be celebrated in England eight centuries later.

New Office Branch

Exciting news! On Monday 22nd June, I’ll be moving to a new branch office on Wood Street in Old Town! The new address is: Unit 1, The Arcade, 29c & First Floor Rear, 29b Wood Street, Swindon, SN1 4AN

Psychoactive Substances Bill

During the Queen’s speech last Wednesday, it was announced that the Conservative Government will draft a Psychoactive Substances Bill that will introduce an absolute ban on new psychoactive substances (NPS), which are often referred to as ‘legal highs’.

The Queen's Speech

Today, I am excited to be visiting the House of Lords to witness an incredibly important event in the Parliamentary calendar: the official State Opening of Parliament.

Radiotherapy Centre Appeal

Attention Swindon residents! The Great Western Hospitals Foundation NHS Trust are launching a fundraising campaign tomorrow to raise £2.9 million to build a dedicated radiotherapy centre at the GWH.

May 19th Update

After a very busy couple of weeks since the election, I can’t believe how quickly time has passed! I’m absolutely delighted to continue supporting our local community, and I’ve already been involved in different events and local organisations across South Swindon.

Advice Surgery at Waitrose

On the 5th June I will be hosting my next Advice Surgery at Waitrose in East Wichel between 10.30am and 12pm. Please come along if you would like to have a chat or if you would like to ask me any questions – there is no appointment necessary. I look forward to seeing you there!

Thank you South Swindon!

At the beginning of the General Election campaign, I bought a new pair of trainers. Looking at them last weekend, I could see they were very worn!
